  • AIMS/OBJECTIVES

    -To bring together all Math’s / ICT students and offer a platform to meet together from time to time.

    -To promote and facilitate good relationships between members through effective co-operation and networking.

    -To mobilize support for students to deploy 21st Century Skills in their teaching and learning in Komenda College of Education

  • MEMBERSHIP

    -Membership is open to all who have attained admission to Komenda College of Education to read Mathematics and ICT.

    -Members would formally register to join the Association by providing Names, Contact phone numbers, emails, and other personal bio data.

  • LEADERSHIP OF THE ASSOCIATION

    -There shall be a Leadership which shall be the highest decision-making body of the Association

    -There shall be Year Coordinators to oversee and organize the Association at the Year level

    - A member of the leadership shall hold office for one (1) year unless he/she resigns or is removed from office under Article 7 in the Association Constitution.

    -He/she may seek re-election for only a second term of office. Leadership shall have power to transact any lawful business in furtherance of the objectives of the Association as stated under Article 2 of the Association Constitution.

Symposium 2023

In His ‘Exiting Speech’, Mr. Evans Amanor Tetteh made it known that, the association through the effort of their HoD/Patron and the department tutors have secured some fund to kick start an establishment of Mathematics Resource Center in the college. He further said that, the facility when done will serve as a training facility for Basic School Teachers in and around the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abream (KEEA) Municipality in the near future. He urged all the tutors and students in the department to lay bare their support for successful establishment of the center. Evans added that, the association has also equipped its members with skills including how to format PC using Windows 10 Setup, how to Effectively use Scientific Calculator to solve objectives test items, as well as graphic and website design skills.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Cynthia Yalley admonished the students and the individuals present to take their academics serious. She further stated that, there are a lot of activities that might occupy them, but their ultimate focus should be on their books.

The Chairman, also the HoD and Patron of the association, Mr. Osei Kojo Agyeman, in his closing remarks expressed his sincere gratitude to all the dignitaries and the individuals who graced the event. He further asked them to continue supporting the association and their initiatives as they are aimed at equipping students’ teachers with the 21st century skills in teaching and learning of mathematics. The event was climaxed with presentations of certificates and awards to executives and other deserving individuals of the association

At an Academic Board Meeting of the College, analysis of 2020/2021 Semester One End of Semester Results was tabled. The analysis points to the fact that Level 100 Mathematics course continue to be with the lowest output. He was supported by Mr. Daniel Nkum and Mrs. Leticia Nana Sam all tutors of Mathematics Unit.
